Proven Elected Leader
Jamie Lingg was elected to Murrysville Council in 2022. As a Councilwoman, Jamie successfully stood to defend taxpayers' property rights. Her dedication to reading ordinances and dutifully researching proposed projects has saved the taxpayers from irresponsible spending and has protected their constitutional rights.
Jamie successfully stood and protected parental medical freedom. She presented irrefutable scientific and constitutional arguments to block in-school vaccine clinics. This resulted in the passing of a resolution to deny vaccine clinics in Franklin Regional schools.
Background and Family
Jamie grew up in Plum Borough in a multigenerational household. After graduating from Plum High School, she continued her education at Purdue University earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a specialization in genetics.
Soon after graduating she met her husband, Bob, and moved to Murrysville in 1998. While she homeschooled her children for 18 years, Jamie started a successful small business which continues to grow each year. She will always tell you that being a wife and a mom of four is the most important job she will ever have.
Active Community Member
Since moving to Murrysville 26 years ago, Jamie has been actively involved in the community.
She has been a Booster Board Member of the Franklin Regional Swimming and Diving Team for 10 years. She also served on the Murrysville Swimming Club Board of Directors for 6 years as a Swim Mom and Webmaster.
Jamie's family are active members at Mother of Sorrows Church, where she served on Pastoral Counsel for 7 years.
As a member of Murrysville Gun Club where her grandfather taught her to shoot a pistol and a .22 target rifle. She went on to become a 3 year varsity letterman and co-captain of Plum High Rifle Team.
She has also instilled the heart of community and service in her children. Her oldest daughter became an EMT at 16 and went on to work for Murrysville Medic One while in high school and is now a Physician Assistant. All four of her children served as assistant catechists to children with autism and special needs at Mother of Sorrows Church and her son is now a Senior Patrol Leader with Troop 208 in Export at Emmanual Lutheran Church.
Jamie is currently an elected Murrysville Councilwoman (2022).
